How to Check if Your Device Supports eSIM
📱 For iOS Devices
- Go to Settings → General → About
- Look for "Carrier Lock" section - should say "No SIM restrictions"
- Look for "Available SIM" or "Digital SIM" section
- If you see an IMEI under these sections, your device supports eSIM
🤖 For Android Devices
- Go to Settings → Connections/Network & Internet
- Look for Mobile Network → Advanced
- Check if you can see "Choose Network" options
- Dial *#06# to check for eSIM IMEI/EID number
- If EID is displayed, your device supports eSIM
📋 Important Notes
- • Regional Variations: eSIM support may vary by region. Some models sold in certain countries may not support eSIM.
- • Carrier Lock: Your device must be unlocked from carrier restrictions to use Hi eSIM.
- • Dual eSIM: Many newer devices support multiple eSIM profiles, but typically only 1-2 can be active simultaneously.
- • China/Hong Kong: iPhones purchased in mainland China, Macao, and Hong Kong (with some exceptions) do not support eSIM.
- • US iPhones: iPhone 14 series and newer US models are eSIM-only (no physical SIM slot).
