eSIM Setup Guide

iPhone Setup

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan
  2. Tap "Use QR Code" and scan the code from your email
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete setup
  4. Label your eSIM plan (e.g., "Travel Data")
  5. Choose which line to use for data
  6. Turn on Data Roaming for your eSIM

  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager
  2. Tap "Add eSIM" or "Add Mobile Plan"
  3. Select "Scan QR Code"
  4. Scan the QR code from your email
  5. Follow the setup wizard

Important Tips

  • • Activate your eSIM when you arrive at your destination
  • • Keep your QR code email safe - you can't transfer eSIM to another device
  • • Turn off data roaming on your primary SIM to avoid charges

Troubleshooting

eSIM Not Connecting

Check these steps:

  1. Verify you're in a coverage area
  2. Restart your device
  3. Toggle Airplane Mode on/off
  4. Check that Data Roaming is enabled for eSIM
  5. Ensure eSIM is selected for data usage

Slow Internet Speed

Possible causes and solutions:

  • Network congestion - try again later
  • Location-based - speeds vary by area
  • Data limit reached - speed reduced to 128kbps
  • Background apps - close unnecessary apps

QR Code Won't Scan

Try these solutions:

  • Ensure good lighting and steady hands
  • Clean your camera lens
  • Try entering eSIM details manually
  • Request a new QR code if damaged
